Biography

Molefe began his career as a candidate attorney with Legal Aid South Africa. After completing his articles he joined the National Prosecuting Authority as a prosecutor where he remained for ten years. He held the following roles in the NPA: District Court Prosecutor; District Court Control Prosecutor; Regional Court Prosecutor; Acting Regional Court Control Prosecutor; State Advocate: Specialised Commercial Crime Unit. He has been exposed to both civil and criminal work, with his last two years at the NPA focusing on the prosecution of commercial crimes that include complex fraud, large scale theft, money laundering, PFMA/MFMA related charges and review and appeal work. He underwent pupillage with the Pretoria Society of Advocates in 2025. He practised as a member of the Pretoria Bar from December 2025 until March 2026. He joined the Tshwane Society of Advocates in April 2026
