Biography

Mandlenkosi holds the B.Iuris and LLB degrees from the University of Transkei (formerly Unitra, currently the Walter Sisulu University (WSU)). He worked as a Public Prosecutor from 1983 to 1985; a Magistrate from 1986 to 1995; a Regional Court Magistrate from 1995 to 1997; the Deputy Attorney-General for the Witwatersrand Local Division (WLD) in 1998; and as an Acting Judge of the High Court of South Africa, Eastern Cape Division, Mthatha from 2001 to 2002. He began practicing as an advocate in July 2000 as a member of the Transkei Bar, and the Bhisho Bar prior to joining the Pretoria Society of Advocates. He was admitted in July 2000 and served pupillage in January 2000 at the Transkei Society of Advocates, where he passed his National Bar Exams and became a Member of the Transkei Society of Advocates until he joined the Tshwane Society of Advocates in May 2020.
